I bought a house at a tax sale in March for $49K. Couldn't get rid of the people living in it because of Covid until July 31. They left peacefully with no eviction but boy did they leave a mess behind. It took 3 forty yard and 2 thirty yard rolloff dumpsters (1 was over limit by 17.5 tons and another was over limit by 13.1 tons) to clean the inside and outside of the .42 acre lot and completely gut the inside of the house down to the studs. But my crew did it in 8 days and a house with the same footprint/acreage 4 houses down the road sold last week for $230K after it was rehabbed in June/July. It was only on the market for 2 days. Mind blowing how some people live.
