Letter from lawyer saying court records show a foreclosesure?

Not sure this is the correct category - but i received a letter from a “Consumer Law Attorney” letting me know that “according to court records a foreclosure had officially been filed against you (me)” and that they were sending me a letter to help me.

However i’ve never received such letter from any court and never even been late on any payments. Is this some type of scam or maybe they found the wrong property (the property next door recently sold on auction).

i received the letter in my FL “rental” property but the letter never actually listed which property was supposed to be in foreclosure. has anyone received such type letters? is there a way i can see these court records online?

LOL I actually used to use as marketing letter that started just like that...but it went to people who were actually in foreclosure. My guess is the sender bought a bad list, or made an error. Toss and move on.
