Illegal Garden Unit in Chicago (want to make legal)

Hey there, I have a property under contract that has an illegal garden unit (only 1 egress) but when I submitted it to the city website it was approved for an additional ADU. Given I'd like to rent this unit out, what are the steps and average costs to make the conversion?
