Start apartment complex investing without experience

Can you start investing in apartment complex without experience on SFH or small multi? I've seen a lot of apartment investors in the forums mentioned apartment is a different type of investment and the experience with SFH or multi don't matter much.

@Joe Au sure, you can start investing in apts without experience in SFH or small multifamily. There is overlap but it's not necessary to have that background to be successful.
