I have enjoyed some early success with SFR and Duplex investing that said, I'm wondering if I can get to where I need to be this way and feel like I need to focus on multi-units....although I would consider something larger I want to try and build my expertise in the 10 - 40ish size.
Can anyone suggest a series of books or other education to review ...I fairly comfortable on the financial evaluation side but look for pointers on the extended due diligence (over that typically done of SFR/Duplex), locating and financing
I like 'Multifamily Millions' by Dave Lindahl and 'The Complete Guide to Buying and Selling Apartment Buildings' by Steve Berges.
Besides the books, I like Peter Harris and Michael Blank's youtube videos. Both also has podcasts on apartment buildings.

I recommend wheelbarrow profits by Jake & Gino. They have a book by the same title & an educational platform. Using their resources made me comfortable to invest in my first 20 unit deal.
Here's a link to the book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0161VPK0Q/
Get your CCIM certification. Its a classroom style training that will teach you more than the books or podcast. I have read Multifamily Millions, my first book and favorite, but the course work at CCIM is much more detailed. If you have long term aspirations for this industry, thats my recommendation.
There's some good podcasts on with Rod Khleif - Lifetime Cash Flow Through Real Estate Investing Podcast and on Kevin Bupp's - Real Estate Investing for Cash Flow.
