Is the Philippines a good market for multi family homes?

I’m very interested in buying real estate in the Philippines, because that’s where all my family lives

location, location, location.  If I were to invest in PI i would build or buy building that is unit mix, ie: retail store in the bottom and student housing on 2nd floors.  This location has to be in the prime RE area and close to universities and retail shopping Center.
