I’m looking for some 20+ complexes. I used to live in Cleveland on and off for a few years about 10 years ago. I don’t know if the city is getting better or worse since I left. I’m not familiar with other major cities in Ohio but found some interesting ones close to the university and medical center in downtown Akron and Dayton. I would like to get some local knowledge before I jump right into it.

@Amedeo M.

The prices in Dayton for a "typical" rental is not really possible to answer in general. Depending on what part of town you are in and type of property it varies greatly. I personally have some SFR rentals in a C neighborhood in the $30-40K range and Multi's in the $20-30K per door range. If you go 2 miles away you can go up or down in neighborhood grade and change your numbers by 50-60% easily if not more.
