I would like to learn more about converting two and three family properties into townhouses/condos. Can anyone recommend resources for that type of info? I would also be interested in hearing about people’s experiences. It is a popular option in my market, but I need to know the ins and outs. Is this something the construction/building department of the town be able to help me with? An architect? Thanks for any input.
Yes you need to check with the zoning and building Dept to find out the requirements in your city for creating condos.
You need to check utilities etc to determine what needs to be done to separate the meters if not done already.
Also you need to consult an attorney and get an estimate to prepare the condo documents.
