Average capital needed for apartment/hotel purchase?

For those who have purchased hotels or apartment complexes. What’s the average liquid capital needed for something that size? Curiosity question mainly to satisfy my wonder of whether or not I want to venture down that road.

@Matthew Peterson it takes a lot now. Aside from 30% down you will need 12-18 months reserves. A bank will also want net worth equal to the loan amount; and a track record managing, or a PM.
