How much have build costs gone up?

Hi Everyone - I've been doing some development projects in Austin and Houston over the last 5 years, but am headed back to South Carolina later this year with some new deals in the works.

I'm trying to get a grip on the trend of build costs over the last few years in different regions. Obviously there's a wide range of price/sqft depending on what you're building, but maybe there's a clear trend of labor and material costs that you've experienced?

If you're in a growing, high-demand city, I'd love to hear how it's affected you. For example, if you were building a custom home for $100/sqft 5 years ago, what might that look like for you today?

Thanks in advance, hope to connect with any of you in the investment or development space in Texas or South Carolina.
