Down Payment Strategies

As a real estate investor, obtaining a down payment can be a significant challenge, particularly for those new to the field. To assist investors in understanding their options, I propose creating a comprehensive guide to down payment strategies. The following are some methods I am aware of, but I welcome any additional suggestions.

Down Payment Strategies:

  1. Home Equity
  2. 401(k) or Roth IRA
  3. Investment accounts
  4. Owner Financing
  5. Partnerships
  6. Private Loans
  7. Wholesaling Properties to Other Investors
  8. Gap Funding
  9. Credit Cards and Business Lines of Credit
  10. Cross-Collateralization
