New Investor Looking to Use VA Loan—Best Way to Start?

Michael Angelo
Posted

Hello, I'm eligible for the VA loan and looking for advice on how to use it to start building wealth through real estate. I'm new to investing but eager to get started, and I want to use this benefit strategically—ideally to generate some cash flow and/or build equity. I've heard about house hacking (like buying a duplex or fourplex, living in one unit, and renting out the others), and that sounds interesting, but I'm not sure where to begin or what markets make the most sense. I'm open to different approaches—multi-family, partnerships, or other creative plays—and would love to hear from anyone who's successfully used the VA loan to launch or grow their real estate journey. Thanks in advance!
