Be Careful Not To Let Tech Tools Become "The Tail That Wags The Dog'

Full transparency...for the last week and a half I've been wrestling tech issues...website, third party integrations, incompetent tech vendors, 10DLC compliance nonsense and the line of third party vendors lined up to exploit the requirement, bloated non intuitive software with even more incompetent 'know nothing' so called tech support.  I admit, I'm raw from it all.  I went from a smooth, high converting landing page operation and in an attempt to make it tech saavy (you know, all the automatic bells and whistles, call back blah blah blah) I've succeeded in having my landing page now say somehow that every single lead is from Alabama..wtf??? the auto call back works..sometimes...maybe...I know how to fix it and if it 'won't fix' I'll just unplug all the crap I've recently installed and go back to the simple lead form with old school automated  email follow up that converts consistenly at 35-45%...automated call back my ***!!!   Purpose of this missive (besides providing me a forum for venting to a targeted audience)...DON'T LET THE TECH TOOLS BE THE TAIL THE WAGS THE DOG...what gets you paid now is what has always gotten you paid (I've been an investor for over 35 years)...1. GENERATING LEADS; 2. MAKING OFFERS; 3. CONVERTING THE CONTRACTS TO SALES....however you do it...'old school'', fax , email , morse code,smoke signal, carrier pigeon..what gets you paid is 1. GENERATING LEADS; 2. MAKING OFFERS; 3. CONVERTING CONTRACTS TO SALES.....not tech!!!  Whew...I feel better now!!
