@Rich Weese Here is a guy who started at the bottom, spent 40 years building the career and lifestyle that was right for him and his family, is extraordinarily successful, and is willing to share how he did it, not just conceptually, but his personal situation and thinking. He's been generous with his time and experience, not just at BP, but on the phone and in person.

My list would be 15 pages long, so I wont go there, however, most everybody who has dealt with me knows what they have done and that it was appreciated.
For most recently, thanks to @Jon Klaus for guiding me through my most recent trip to the DFW. His insight into the market there was most helpful.
Thanking Josh for setting up this sight goes without saying.

I was thinking about Ryan, too. He explained wholesaling in a way that helped me understand it as a real business model better than anyone else. If you are interested in wholesaling, and haven't read his stuff, you should search the early years of BP for his Ryan's posts.

@Brandon Turner When Brandon joined BP full time a couple of years ago, the community jumped to a higher level. He does so much, writes so much great content, and his huge part in the pod casts is irreplaceable. I think Brandon and Josh compete with each other to see who can work the hardest. We win.

The guy I learned 80% of what I know about marketing from (and most of that other 20% came from doing what he said to do)

In particular, @Michael Quarles has helped me to fine-tune our direct mail strategy.
@Brian Gibbons has revealed a number of creative financing strategies such as split funding and JV agreements (and of course, lease options - a topic where I have to credit @John Jackson for first helping me to see the potential in that strategy).
And J.Scott has provided an excellent set of "textbooks" that I can now recommend to new investors!

So far there haven't been many mentioned that aren't on my list of great resources, and those are more than likely not known to me because I am still quite new to BP. I would have to add that although so many here have taught me a lot of important things, I have learned a whole different way of looking at things from @Ben Leybovich and his blog posts. Thanks Ben, keep us thinking.

@Joshua D. a big thanks for making this community for all of us to interact, and be able to ask questions about things we don't know or are unsure of. Allowing us to meet people that have succeeded in RE, that we would never have been able to with out BP

@Bill Gulley Thanks for the advise and helpful push. I have been amazed at your broad spectrum of knowledge also. It definitely gained my respect and wishes to learn from you. I will always remember the post that we were in a discussion, and we were talking about a commercial building and a buy/sale of a ongoing manufacturing company along with the real estate it may own. You brought up about bad inventory and specifics about PVC or other plastics, the colorants and their lack of value due to specific product manufacturing. Love reading your reply's on the posts I read. You have a lot of knowledge to give and help all of us with.

@J.scott for starting the challenge of the week. Great help with motivating "to do" and quit trying to learn everything first. Action is what it took and I am sure I will make mistakes, but I will learn along the road

Thank you for the kind word! My only other advice is be very careful about who you listen to in forums, many are blowhards with little "real" knowledge, just part of the RE business sorting it all out. Best of luck and study, never stop learning! :)

That's a HUGE question.... Really HUGE.
The first one to help me was REIClub. They helped me get here so I have to give them some thanks although they wouldn't like hearing it.
Most certainly Joshua Dorkin. Although he and I have had our moments... Water under the bridge. What Josh did in the beginning allowing me to honor my core philosophy of giving to receive was magical. Wish I could still.
If you spend a day or thousand here your personality and acceptance of a persons philosophy will seem to change. Mostly for the betterment of you. When I first arrived I thought Bill was full of crap and now he would be my go to expert.
To witness so much growth in the members of BP is astounding. Real estate investing is certainly alive and well if BP members are any indication of the spirit and drive necessary to be successful.
There are a handful of alphabetical letters strung together which make a name who I will always honor for their contributions; those most constantly that I learn and grow from...

@Dev Horn what sticking power to a goal you have. I wake up and ask myself what would be on your agenda for the day and I go to bed asking if you achieved more than I did.

WOW! How do I limit to one person? I wish I could remember who turned me onto BP as they would get my VOTE. THE podcasts,all 69 of them, Brandon &Josh for "The Beginners Guide to" book so my spouse can learn this bizness. And J. Scott for his two books. OBTW Closing on our first deal tomorrow. Yay!
