First Investment Property Question

Mark H.

Hello,

I am new to real estate investing.  I am in the process of buying my first rental property which will be a rehab and sell for profit.  I was approached by another investor who wants to complete a joint venture with me.  I am hesitate to work with someone on my first deal since we both have limited experience.  I would like to complete joint ventures in the future however i would like to gain some experience before i start doing these kind of deals.

Any suggestions or feedback would be very helpful.

Best Regards,

Mark

Hi @Mark H.. I would do what you are comfortable with. If you prefer to do this one on your own then I suggest you do that. If the partner was more experienced then I'd say maybe doing a joint venture would be beneficial for you both, but since you both are limited with experience, maybe try this one yourself to make sure you know the ins and outs. I think everyone should have the knowledge do it on your own. Having partners is a great tool but maybe you're not ready for it just yet. Good luck!
