How Weird Is This Heating System?

The guy we bought this home from was also the builder. He was fairly inventive and the home has some really cool features. This however is just strange. So the home is on county water. But he tapped into the old well system. So we have a "geo thermal" style system yet the well water is heated with a boiler. These things sound like a semi screaming up a hill. Apparently its actually fairly cheap to run. But for the price range this project will be in a buyer wants a regular high efficiency furnace.

Sorry guys I hadn't been on for a few days.

@Dan Maddenthat's a typo. I meant county water.

@Aaron CarterThe old well system water was  being brought into a boiler and then pusher through. Forced central.

@Bill TylerI know right! It is extremely complicated. Half of the system has already failed. We are moving it COMPLETELY off of this system. It will be on a regular furnace/water heater set up. This is a flip with a an ARV over 400k. No buyer in that price range out here would want to mess with it. The home is on county but still has access to the old well. We will most likely leave it as an option for things like a sprinkler system but the entire home is on county. So no need for the softener etc.
