Deeded Driveways.. interesting

I am looking for some advice from fellow investors in Maine. I am looking to put a single family home under contract in an urban area and because the houses are close together the driveway is deeded for one home and has right of way for the other. I have never been involved in a house with this issue. Has anyone else ran into trouble with updating the driveway, resale of the home once renovated, tenants next door issues? Just want to keep my head on a swivel for information when getting into anything legal with another property owner and decisions regarding the house I want to purchase. Thank you.

A similar issue was described in the Bigger Pockets books Rental Property Investing.  There were issues with a shared driveway and it reduced the value of the property.
