Working with a experienced Realtors-Investors

Hello guys ,

I'm in sort of a loop here. I understand that having strong connections with agents, other investors etc is key in REI, but I find it hard to build when I am staring out and don't have a lot to offer.

Good and healthy relationships need to go both ways and need to be beneficial for all parties otherwise they die real quick. I keep hearing in the podcasts and reading all over the forums that one of the firsts things to do is start contacting investor-friendly agents to build our network but, how to have them take me serious without having a proven track record and bringing something to the table?

I'll need more from them for a while that what I can really offer. Any tips on building strong relationship with GOOD agents while being a newbie?

Thank you!

When reaching out to agents show proof you can buy and want to close a house. I won't work with someone until I know they are serious about buying as we are all busy people. Also be prepared to share your expectations and price points assuming they are realistic. If you want a $100,000 house that rents for $3,000 you better keep looking for an agent as we want someone that understand what the market is really like. Good luck you will find someone to work with and eventually have that track record.
