 I haven't invested in real estate at all yet and still trying to finalize my goals/plans. Thanks!

REITs are a great investment vehicle. However I do think they are not a stand-in replacement for what most people on BP consider real estate. Since I get asked this question often, I compiled my thoughts in a BP blog post awhile back:
