investor = having money to invest..  so if you want to make money in real estate to then buy real estate.  in otherwords make money while you learn

1. get a RE license go to work for a resi broker on their team.. earn while you learn

2. get a RE license go to  work in a commercial firm as apprentice  learn while you earn you will do a lot of leasing but will meet many entrepreneurs

3. Enter the mortgage generation field.. either as clerical or get your RMLO and do loans.. again learn while you earn.

4. apply for a job with a development company and scout land deals for them.. hard to get this position but very fruitful if you can land it.

with no money no experience its a tough road.. I  know folks will tell you to bird dog for investors you can do that.. its hit with a ton of miss's... or try to wholesale again need money to do this and VERY competitive.... you could lose all your money before you ever do one deal.

hope this gives you a few ideas.
