Section 408 IRS

Hello, I've been reading a few books about real estate investing and I ran into using your current 401k and turning it into a "Real Estate IRA" to purchase investment property. Has anyone else heard of this?

@Angel Negrete - this is commonly referred to as a "Self-Directed IRA" or SDIRA. You generally cannot roll over a 401k to an IRA if you are currently employed by the 401k sponsor. After termination of employment, you may roll your 401k over to an IRA and may even be able to roll directly to a SDIRA custodian.

You can search for "SDIRA" and "401k rollover" for more information on requirements for each.
