Hello BP,

I have been really interested in investing in multi family units as of late. Could anyone who has been investing in multi family units give me some pros and cons on investing in multi family units?

Pros:

a. more than one unit so vacancy isn't zero if one unit is vacant

b. all your problems (roof, yard maintenance, etc) occur in one spot

c. possibly more cashflow

d. purchasing is the same process as a single unit, so one closing process, one set of closing costs but you get two units or more

Cons:

a. more upkeep inside (ex: two bathrooms, two kitchens, etc)
