Rehab Modular home

N/A N/A
Posted

I would like some advice on modular homes. When I say modular, I am talking about a manufactured home that was built as two halves and then assembled on-site.

I am looking at a foreclosed modular home that is for sale for about 1/4 the price that the previous owner paid 4 yrs ago.

Do modulars appreciate? What are the pitfalls?

The home needs some cosmetic work. I am pretty handy in regards to home repairs, but I don't know much about modulars. What do I need to look out for? (Ex. are the walls normal 2x4 construction, what is the subflooring like, etc.)

Any help/advice would be appreciated.
