There are various ways to measure return, so let's look at annual percentage growth of net worth.

What is your target for growing your worth each year?

How are you doing vs. your goal?

Is this an important measure to you?

What quantifiable goals are more important to you?

Boy, I have so many goals I think that sometimes I need to focus. Most of them are long term goals. Within the next 5 years I want to buy 100 rental properties. I accumilated 25 last year so I think I'm track for that goal. After buying my rental properties my goal is to get them all paid off within 15 years. I am doing this by doing fix and flips and using profits from that to pay off my loans. I will sell a few rentals here and there as well on a rent to own and that money will go to pay off my houses.

Short Term goals is to create a real estate team this year with my realty company. Within 1 year of creating my team my goal is to make 1 million Net. I will be the CEO of the team and I will have realtors working on my team listing properties and a realtor working with buyers. I know I'm on track for this already. Last year we made $200k and we didn't do any marketing for listings. Our leads came from the investment company for the houses I didn't want to buy. My goal is to figure out how to make a team and what the splits should be as well as how all the fee's get paid. I'm still learning, but I know I can do it.

I would love to hear from other exerienced realtors how they set up thier team and system. I am still learning the realtor team side of the business. If anybody has any insight I am willing to share my knowledge as well.
