Real Estate Agent Response Times?
I'm trying to get into real estate investing and have been working with a real estate agent that was referred to me through a friend. Since day one, I've noticed a fairly consistently slow response time and I'm wondering if my annoyance is reasonable and I should be looking elsewhere.
On our first call, he promised to give me access to the MLS portal. I had to follow up a week later and his excuse was that he was out of the city and then was helping a client with a legal matter.
Afterwards, every time I send him questions about properties (or this time a request for a showing), it takes over 24H to get a response.
Is this normal or should I be seeking another agent?

I’ve worked in sales all my life, if a prospect messages me and says they see a product that they’re interested in I’m going to respond ASAP! Now of course this guy has other clients and may be showing houses but he should at least text you back within an hour or two.
The last realtor I used was great, he’d respond within the hour every time. There was one day when he was going to be unavailable so he told me ahead of time and gave me another realtor’s number that he worked with in case I needed anything. That’s how it should be in my opinion.
