Commerical Umbrella vs Personal Umbrella

Roshael Reece
Posted

BP Community, I have an LLC and liability insurance on all 5 properties with the goal to purchase more. I also have a personal umbrella policy. Do you think a Commercial umbrella policy is required vs a personal umbrella policy? Thanks, Katina

@Roshael Reece A commercial umbrella will protect the LLC assets if a tenant or contractor sues. A personal umbrella will protect your interest in the LLC if, say, you cause a car wreck and the other driver sues.
