Social Media for Traction

Good afternoon BP Community,

Social media is, in my opinion, an EXTREMELY underused tool in the real estate industry.  I can easily see those who adopt it now or already have those systems in place propelling their business to the next level.  That being said, I have decided to move more attention to establishing a social media presence.

I would like to ask for input and general tips about using social media in the real estate business.  Do y'all use social media?  If so, what is your pursuit/desired outcome?  Are there any tips you'd recommend?  Would you mind linking your social media account for reference?

Best regards,

Kevin

As far as your question, yes social media is very powerful in the real estate industry. Most successful realtors, property managers, landlords, etc. are all using social media.

The best platform depends on your business and goals. Using Facebook and Instagram are the two most common. People also use LinkedIn. I have even heard of some using Snapchat, TikTok and Twitter, but those seem like less useful for real estate.

I would recommend consistency. That means regular postings on the media platforms. You can use apps to schedule posts. One thing I like is the use of videos. I have seen people go live on Facebook with a happy customer just for a couple minutes. There is nothing like a real life testimonial to lend credibility.
