Anybody doing deals using only a laptop, internet connection, and a cell phone?
My question is spurred by exposure on the net to a guy named Joe McCall and wholesaling lease options...

Welcome to BiggerPockets!

I can't think of any investor that doesn't use the internet today to help them in buying or selling real estate. The three main tools seem to be a phone, laptop, and internet connection. That's what all my clients use, and everything else is done by third parties (that were hired using their phone/internet.)
