Hey guys,

I have just moved to Minneapolis because I have signed for Minnesota United. I am hoping to begin working in acquisitions for my friends real estate company, and would love to find an investor or agent with experience working with investors, to meet with and ask some questions.

Get a lay of the land and just hear what they have to say. Please respond if you are in the area and wouldn't mind meeting for some coffee or chat on the phone even, or just a recommendation of someone you know.

Thank you BP nation.

@Sam Gleadle I am confused. Your going to start working at your friends real estate company, in acquisitions, yet you'd like to meet with other agents to help teach and mentor????? Isn't that what your friend's brokerage should be doing??????

And please, please, please can you do something with MN United so fam stops laughing when we say "we have football too". So we will never be a Manchester United, but could we at least be on par with Bafana Bafana.

James,
This is more for me personally, he is located in Vegas and has not previously invested here in Minneapolis before. So, it's more for me to learn a bit myself and make some connections so I can get things going here.

I shall try my best and see what I can do haha. I don't think I would ever want to be compared to Manchester United anyway...

Thanks for responding James,

Sam Gleadle

@Sam Gleadle Welcome to MN.  I'm not a Realtor but I work in Real Estate finance and my office is 3 blocks from your new "office" so hit me up if you would like to grab a coffee.

Hey Sam, welcome to Minnesota!

There are no shortage of great investor friendly agents in the twin cities. Two good agents who are on BP are @Daniel Anshus and @Adam Tafel . There are some investor focused agent groups too, Side by Side Realty and The Duplex Doctors being two of them. I've worked with the Duplex Doctors personally and have heard great things about Side by Side Realty too. So there ya go, I probably just gave you way to many agents to talk to lol. I told you there were a lot of good ones, and that was still leaving some out. Good luck!

Also if you have any questions feel free to PM me too. I won't be as plugged in as the agents overall but as an local investor I'm perusing the small multifamily listings daily still, so I'm pretty confident in knowing what is decent value for a duplex in Mpls, for example.

Aaaahhhh, lol. And your a fantastic sport as well it seems, so no bad feeling on the World Cup game then, lol. I should have asked before revealing myself as a Springboks fan. That was a great World Cup, England was ferocious as ever, so close.

So when I say living here, if I hear the words "Sunday Brunch" my heart breaks a little and I want to immediately book a flight, you feel me, lol.

@Sam Gleadle welcome to mn and bigger pockets! I know some people who work for mn united who are also investors. Would love to connect you with them. I would love to have coffee and chat with you. Also having been born in England I grew up with my dad wanting me to play football, I feel like he would roll over in his grave if I didn't take the chance to meet a pro football player.
