When to hire a tax professional

I am about to close on my very first home, and will be using the house hacking strategy to boost my cash flow, and eventually buy an investment property.

My question is when should I hire a tax professional as opposed to using Turbo tax by myself?

Hey @Max Ripley, I would recommend getting it done by a CPA (not H&R Block) this year.  While your return won't be too complex I think it will be a good idea to have a pro do it the first time.  After that, you can use that return as a templet and use turbo tax moving forward.
