Does Landlord Experience From Prior Years Qualify

Posted

I sold the one residential rental property I owned in 2021. I am looking to get back into the investment game with a new purchase. In meeting the one year of landlord experience requirement, would this previous experience meet the requirement?

My tax return for 2021 would have have a sch E with reported rental income for the partial year prior to the sale. Any tax return prior to 2021 would have a sch E with full-year rental income reported. Would any of this help?

Thanks,

Ray
