VA Loan with Energy Efficient Mortgage - EEM then use 10% federal tax credit & then try for rebates from power company

On a VA loan anyone use an energy efficient mortgage? None of the lenders I have talked to have had experience.

I'm thinking to use the EEM to update windows doors and maybe some insulation.  The other options like solar & wind seemed like they would not be cost effective.

Then I think I can get up to 10% tax credit on the windows up to $200 & the doors up to $300.  $500 total is the limit I think?

Also planning to call the local power company to see if they have rebates I might be able to use.

Trying to triple dip.

Any ideas thoughts appreciated.
