Where to get lending to start rental portfolio!!

I am getting going in real estate in a great part of the country. I lived as a single mom for 10 years and my credit took some pretty hard hits throughout that time. I have great vision and a team of people to help with renovations, but I need lending. I am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.
