Note sold - No supporting docs

Looking for some clarification.  My lender (bank) transferred one of my mortgages to another bank with instructions regarding where to send future payments. It was a simple letter with no additional details aside from the new loan number and address of the new bank.  My original lender confirmed via email that the transfer was legit and the loan was transferred.

The letter ended by advising that I could send them a Qualified Written Request or Request for Information, but I needed to include a statement detailing the reason for my request.   I just find it all a bit odd because so many docs are signed at closing, which is all notarized.

I’m curious; is this all there is to it?  I’d assume there’d be additional documentation to support this “transfer.”

Should I ask for any additional documentation?  Thanks!
