Possible to cosign HELOC?

Hi BP,

Can one cosign somebody else's HELOC? Say my parents have some equity in their house but their incomes/DTI don't qualify them to get a decent amount out with their HELOC. Can I cosign it to get more equity out? (Without adding my name to the deed/co-owning the property)
