CPA for newer investor
Hello,
I am looking for a CPA who works with newer real estate investors. My husband and I started investing in January this year. We have LLC and we've done one flip, and a novation deal - both profitable. We also bought another property which we currently converting into duplex and hoping to hold this one long term. We both have W2 jobs. We are looking for someone to help us file taxes (both for LLC and personal) for this year and try to mitigate any tax loses, but also who we can build long term relationship as we grow our portfolio. We are based in South Jersey, but we are open to work with someone virtually. Any recommendations/referrals will be appreciated.

Hey Weronika,
I would look for a firm that you can grow with along the way. Lots of firms often times have niched down and only work with larger investors. For example, we work with real estate investors big and small, and have fair pricing along the way. The firm I worked with in the past charged me massive fees, largely because we were higher income and they didn't back it up with value. Beware of these traps!
