Real Estate CPA

Hello all!

Just starting investing in the Chicago land area and was wondering if anyone has a good CPA person on their team they can refer me to? Thanks for the help!

@Nicolas Falbo don't feel like you need to use someone local. A CPA doesn't need to be local to serve you, it's just a matter of personal preference. Many of us have clients all over the U.S.

If you are set on using a local CPA, check with your state CPA board and see if they will refer you to one.

Let me know if you have questions.

Welcome to BP!

Hope you get a good referral, just wanted to say that staring out, you may not really need a CPA, nothing against CPAs but what is really needed at first is a good accountant/tax guy who may not be a CPA and will most likely be much cheaper. You don't "need" a CPA unless you are needing public accounting that must be certified, corporations, non-profits where you may have to provide certified financial statements. In investors generally don't need to go there.

Might contact @Steven Hamilton II

our in-house tax guy. :)
