Funding Self-Directed IRA with Stock Options

I’m new to the SDIRA concept. If I start a new SDIRA in 2016 what is the maximum I can fund/contribute to the SDIRA? If I sell my stock options which is regular income can I fund the new SDIRA?

What happens to the positive cash flow/profits after purchasing rental units with the SDIRA?

Can I fund the same SDIRA ever year or do I need to set up a new SDIRA?

Which SDIRA custodian has zero fees, cheapest, and easiest to work with?

@Royce J.

If you have self-employment activity, the Solo 401k may not only save you in fees, but also allow much higher contributions limits than a self-directed IRA. Most find the 401k is the better choice if they are eligible.
