HOA complaints

I rent on the east coast and own on the west coast (employment thing). In the place I rent I may have a problem and am looking for a solution.

The condo I rent is in the middle of a bunch of old people. I hear the HOA is rather picky and unreasonable. One guy with a newer nice looking pickup truck parks outside the community because they don't like his truck. I have a Corvette, and there is an old lady who is complaining about the exhaust noise. I think it may become an HOA meeting topic.

I am not really sure what to do about this. The car is legal and driven reasonably. The complaint seems totally overblown, but I am concerned.

I feel like saying - It is legal, but call the police if you like. It is legal and I am not worried about this, but the HOA - How can I deal with this?
