S Corp LLC (Timing, LLC with and without)

Hello Everyone.

My business partners and I wanted to know when is the best time to form the S-Corp in terms of if we should find the rehab deal first then form the S-Corp or should we form it now. In addition, whether it makes a difference of creating an LLC that gets taxed as an S-Corp or just forming an S-Corp.

If anyone can shed some light on this that would be helpful. I think based on my research that if you plan on flipping homes it is best to go with S-Corp and if your buying and holding a Series LLC to protect the assets will do just fine. Is this true?
