Knowledgable CPA in Massachusetts
Hi,
My current CPA is good but doesn't have extensive knowledge in real estate investing.
I am looking for a CPA who has worked with real estate investors before and can help me with various Tax strategies related to real estate. I have a handful of properties now and expect to have more in the near future.
Any and all recommendations will be appreciated!
Thanks!

Everyone wants their accountant to be local. But honestly, you need the best accountant for your circumstances, not the closest. Long gone are the days where you sit down face to face with your accountant bringing your shoebox full of receipts. Most communication is done by phone and electronic files (spreadsheets, QB files, pdfs, etc.)
I insisted on a local accountant for years, and while I got what I asked for, it wasn't a good situation for me. I switched to an accountant who specializes in real estate investors, and who is a tax attorney, accountant and real estate investor himself. His name is John Hyre, located in Ohio, you can google him. If you can't find him, PM me and I'll send you his info.
I have been very happy since I switched.
