Does it make sense to get the cost segregation study done for 1000 sqft for single family homes? How much does it cost? Can it be DIY? recommended only for bigger properties?

@Joe Splitrock FYI, I interacted with KBKG and researched them for a good while before deciding to use them and do CSS for two of my SFR rentals. Their tool is easy to use and of good price/value ratio (especially when compared with 2K+ quoted alternatives). Let me know if you want more details and we can chat.
