Ratio of taxes + insurance to rent
The experienced landlords in the Greenville-Spartanburg, SC area tell me that there was a time when two months’ rent could pay property taxes and insurance for a SFH. I am now seeing 2.5 to 3.5. If you have SFHs, what ratios are you seeing?

I think its wholly dependent upon precisely where you live and updated for property unique conditions. For example my properties in California are about 2.75, and my houses in Ohio are about 2.25, but again relatively minor locality differences, property status and grandfather rules (if they apply) can greatly skew numbers for homes relatively close to each other.
