SDIRA question - leave it in escrow? or transfer back?

I recently invested some $ from my roth SDIRA into a LLC, for a multi family, but the contract fell through.

Can I leave the money in the escrow account until the investor finds another deal? Or do I need to transfer the money back to the IRA. And have the IRA company evaluate the new investment opportunity when it comes up?

Yes, I will ask my IRA company these questions to make sure I am in compliance. Just needed some feedback.

@Chris T.

Yes, discuss the matter with your custodian.

In all likelihood, they will need to have the money returned, and a new set of investment paperwork submitted for any future transaction.
