Is this fraud in any way?

So If I purchase a home as my primary residence with all 100% honest intent to live in it. Mortgage laws say that I intent to inhabit the property as my primary residence. However, what if I have to relocate to another state 3-6 months after closing?

How do I notify the lender?

You don’t have to notify the lender. Happens to military a lot. It also happened to my son who was transferred after his company was sold. All of this is well documented and most times the property is sold so that is when the bank gets notified. If you held it and rented it and continued to pay the bank doesn’t care. Most banks sell Your loan to another bank/fanny or Freddy
