Buy as LLC or individual ?

I have two lots under contract under my name, containing 2 vacation rentals with potential for 5 more, or 15 unit motel. I want to develop the properties and hold. Should I close under my name and quit claim into an LLC? I'll have a loan - want future liability protection. Suggestions needed. Will talk with my mortgage broker and attorney tomorrow.

That's best left to an attorney. For tax purposes my understanding is an LLC doesn't give you any more deductions than if it's in your own name because you file on your return. I know of several people that have an umbrella policy on each property instead of putting in an LLC. I don't know enough about it to give you any more insight.
