What if I get in over my head?

Jason Taylor

Hello all!

I am currently starting a long term project and am planning on signing an affidavit for owner-contractor (exception to NC GS 87-14) my question is - what if I get in over my head or life gets in the way during the project? If I hire a licensed GC say after rough in inspection, does that release me from the affidavit?

Thanks!
