Tax Lien Certificate purchased from state...

I have an LOA for a delinquent tax property that’s a vacant lot. I had a new mobile home placed on the lot and the next day the person who’s name is listed as the owner redeemed the property. Well the issue comes in where a couple says they bought the lot from the owner and they want to be paid for “damages” to the grass where the mobile home was placed. My question is legally am I responsible for that?
