Advice on ROBS and what investments can be rolled over.

I understand the concept but I would like to know if a 403B is ineligible for rollover if you are currently employed with the company that administers the investment. I stumped a Tax Attorney and the tax attorney gave me a general response that left me unsatisfied. Would Bigger Pockets universe give me advice? I really appreciate it.

Hi - thanks for your question. So long as you are over 591/2 you should be able to rollover the 403B funds to another 401(k) to do a ROBS.  You will need to check with your plan administrator to confirm the 403B plan triggering event rules for your specific plan.  Hope this helps.

Thanks

Adam
