Recapture Depreciation Taxes

Art Webb
Posted

I’m selling a beach house I’ve owned since 2006 that I rent out late May through mid October each year. Every year except 2014 to 2017 I’ve also used the house for personal use for several months.  My personal use meets the IRS definition for it to be classified as a residence.  As such am I obligated to pay any depreciation recapture or capital gains taxes upon sale ?  Thanks for any comments !!     Art
